For over 30 years the name of Peter Golding Limited has been synonymous in the aquatic trade with quality and reliability. Today the company is making weekly deliveries to aquatic outlets, pet shops and garden centres throughout the UK.

Flying Fish
Every week we receive up to twelve consignments of freshwater fish from various parts of the world. These consignments are processed through Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and then transported to the premises at Barton Stacey in Hampshire for either our own stock holding or console customers.

Before being released for sale all livestock is acclimatised in our holding facilities for a minimum of 5 days. All Japanese koi pass through the new unit at our Devon premises for a minimum of 14 days prior to being offered for sale.

Worldwide Contracts
To ensure that only top quality livestock is imported, we have regularly travelled to meet our carefully selected shippers. This has given us the opportunity to inspect the farms and stock available and also to cement relationships with the suppliers with whom we have been on excellent terms for many years.

Huge Stocks
Surprisingly, livestock is not the major part of the business. Peter Golding Limited is one of the main aquatic ‘dry’ stock wholesalers in the UK. All aspects of the aquarium and pond trades are covered by a warehouse simply bulging at the seams.

With a range of products numbering well over 5000 and a stockholding of approximately 3 months in relation to annual sales, customers enjoy the confidence of an extremely high ‘in stock’ situation, coupled with a weekly delivery service.

For ease of ordering, the computer system is constantly updated and has the ability to produce, both printed and computer diskette versions of the accessory catalogue and livestock lists.

We are firm believers in retaining that essential personal touch which we feel is so easy to lose with uncontrolled growth. Staff continuity and loyalty together with the fully computerised system helps maintain the efficiency and service which has created a sound reputation for Peter Golding Limited for over 30 years.
